OTECRIS - Overlay Technology for Enhancing Connectivity and Realism in Interacting Simulations
Multi-crew training on certified simulators — without touching their core!

What It Does?
"Two or more crew members train together, each on their own machine, each in their own simulation, each wearing a head-mounted display. Each sees the others — including how they reach for and operate the controls.
The overlay renders on top of the simulator's output. The underlying simulation is never modified, so the device's qualification is not affected. The simulations do not have to be the same product or come from the same vendor." - Mr. Maximilian Doberenz, CEO and Founder
Protected by granted US Patent 12,573,152 and a pending EU counterpart, OTECRIS acts as a non-intrusive connectivity layer. By utilizing a proprietary network-enabled communication module and an advanced overlay engine, it bridges disparate software architectures and simulator generations without requiring any modification to their core source code.
Core Capabilities
Cross-vendor multi-crew. Crews on simulators built on different technologies train in one shared exercise.
No modification to certified software. The overlay communicates with each simulation through its official APIs. Nothing in the qualified baseline changes.
Rendered hands with occlusion. Virtual hands reflect real hand movements and gestures; they are hidden when they pass behind obstacles inside the simulation.
Open participant count. The granted claim covers at least two computers, simulations and displays communicating with one another — from a two-person crew to large distributed exercises across services.
Runtime training content. Instructional media and third-party content can be added at runtime, again without changing the simulator.
